This application is a Web Content Management system built on WebSphere Application Server and Informix Dynamix Server (using the Excalibur Text datablade). This solution proved to be very successful in Latin America, where it was sold.

Instant Intranet was originally written using the Web Datablade, a development tool from Informix Software, result of the Illustra acquisition. In 2000 I started planning to migrate that application as well as the many applications written by our customers using that tool to Java. Instant Portal is the result of that effort
