Jigsaw! was resounding success, with over 100,000 copies sold. However, I wasn't satisfied. The program was basically written over a week-end as a programming exercise and it shows. That is why, after releasing LaserForce, I decided to spend a couple of days improving it with what I had learned while working on that game.
Jigsaw Deluxe includes a new title screen with music, support for two player competitions, more complex levels and a couple of additional goodies. It is a significant upgrade over the original.
I submitted Jigsaw Deluxe to Britannica Software, but the IIgs market was already in sharp decline and they decided not to release it.
The program sat on my IIGS Hard Drive for almost 30 years before I was finally able to recover it with the help of my friend Antoine Vignau from Brutal Deluxe Software who was able to rescue most of the HD's contents despite being in a terrible condition.
